The day starts at Vila do Abraão’s pier: humidity lifts off the bay in slow waves, local boats bob like patient horses, and the trailhead vanishes into the Atlantic Forest. Footsteps press into soft earth, streams dare you to cross on slippery roots, and steep, leafy ramps push upward until the world opens to a wide white beach and Atlantic rollers.

The trail from Vila do Abraão typically takes about 2½–3½ hours one way depending on pace and breaks; the full private tour runs 6–8 hours including stops and boat return.
The trail has steep and rooty sections and is best for fit, mobile participants; children can do it with frequent rests, but traveling with an experienced guide is recommended.
