The bow lifts, the engine roars, and the turquoise shelf of the Blue Lagoon runs toward you like a promise. On this four-hour powerboat run from Malta, wind and spray shape the trip: cliffs blink past, waves push at the hull, and the lagoon’s clear shallow water dares you to jump in.
moderate.
4 hours.
Moderate—able to board a small boat, swim short distances, and climb on/off rocky shorelines.
The tour includes a four-hour stop during which you can swim, snorkel, and join the cave visit.
Some operators offer rentals, but bringing your own snorkel mask is recommended for fit and hygiene.
Facilities are limited; many boats have basic restrooms, but plan for minimal shore facilities during your stop.
Children and non-swimmers can join but should wear life vests and stay close to the boat or shallow shoreline; check operator age limits and safety rules.
Comino served historically as a quarantine and hunting ground; its sparse settlement preserved karst formations and small chapels tied to Malta’s maritime past.
High visitor numbers strain shallow seagrass beds—stick to sandy entry points, avoid standing on the seabed, and use reef-safe products.
