We recommend that you arrive current and proficient

With ideal weather conditions, the SES course should take two days to complete, with the check-ride on the morning of the third day. While most pilots can obtain single-engine seaplane proficiency within the 5 hours of included flight time, some may require additional training. 2-3 hours are typically needed for those who do not already hold high performance and complex endorsements, in order to familiarize themselves with the constant speed propellor and 300HP performance.
