Embark on a two-hour journey through a vibrant herb farm and botanical sanctuary, where you'll explore diverse ecosystems, participate in plant harvesting, and enjoy an Appalachian tea ceremony. About

Regenerative agriculture and sustainable living have been our passion for three decades! Join us for an exploration of our 73 raised bed gardens, our pond and fields, and the cozy comfort of our workshop space. Breathe in the natural world and experience nature’s bounty with all your senses on our working herb farm and botanical sanctuary. We love hosting our guests so they too can experience the magic of this lovely acreage.

NOTE: We will contact each person after we receive a booking, to welcome you, give you our contact information, and provide these details again in email format.

What to Bring

  • We will be outside for 1-2 hours, so please bring a hat plus either sunscreen or long sleeves to protect against the sun in summer, and warm outdoor clothing in the spring and fall
  • Wear comfortable walking shoes that can get damp or muddy
  • Wear clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty
  • If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please make sure you let us know at least 1 week in advance of your booking
  • Guests are invited to bring a pen and notebook, camera, reusable water bottle, insect repellent, and binoculars if they wish, although these are optional
  • This experience is for individuals aged 16+
  • This experience is not accessible for guests with a wheelchair, walker, or significant mobility challenges - there is a fair amount of walking on uneven terrain involved in our exploration, and the guest washroom and workshop room are up a short flight of stairs.

About your Host

“Nature enriches us – mind, body and spirit.” Michelle Wolf is a community developer and naturalist who holds a master’s degree in Environmental Studies from York University. For over 25 years, she has been living in the Annapolis Valley where she has built two successful homestead businesses as an organic gardener, writer, seed saver, workshop facilitator and herbal maker. She loves sharing her land, gardens, ecological lifestyle, tea ceremonies, and plant knowledge with other people and her community. Find her on FB and IG. Michelle’s husband Al assists as co-host throughout their experiences.
