Fly south over the rolling hills to the historic Savanna Army Depot where 13,000 acres of bunkers were built at the end of WWI. Cross the mighty Mississippi River and fly north along the Iowa river bluffs with great, high views and soaring eagles. See Chestnut Mountain and it’s ski runs. Experience our only tour which visits Dubuque and see the Millwork District, the museum, and maybe the river boats. This tour would not be complete without both the Elizabeth and Galena downtown Main Street views, Lake Galena and Apple River Lake and everything else in between.

Each helicopter tour can hold up to three passengers. Please note that all trips are private - even if you have less than three passengers in your group, we will not add anyone else to ride with you!

Per liability and insurance guidelines, Driftless Helicopters is unable to accommodate children under the age of 3 or any “lap child” not occupying their own seat. Our pilots will also use their discretion, and may not allow a “Doors-Off” tour while children are passengers.

FAA Weight Regulations: FAA regulations require that all passengers be weighed at check-in. Every passenger, including their carry-on items, will be discreetly weighed upon check-in. Only the flight crew will have access to passenger weights, and all information will be kept confidential. The FAA limits the passenger weight in each seat to 300 lbs. Purchasing a second ticket does not exempt you from the 300 lbs. weight limit. The combined maximum weight limit per group is 550 lbs.

What to Bring

We suggest passengers wear dark-colored clothes, so that their clothing does not reflect off the helicopter window or disrupt their photos.
