About

Welcome to the Harry Potter Coach Tour and a chance to sit back and relax, as you immerse yourself in the magical world of Harry Potter. No need to walk and swerve round the streets against the hustle and bustle of the busy London capital. Allow us to welcome you and your fellow Potter fans on board.

The Harry Potter books and films have enchanted generations of fans for over 20 years, since publishing in 1997 and the first film adaptation released in 2001, starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and a variety of iconic British actors including Dame Maggie Smith, Robbie Coltrane, Alan Rickman, Sir Michael Gambon and many, many more.

Swap your broomstick for one of our coaches

On this 3 ½ hour Harry Potter Coach tour, you will venture to many locations featured in the ‘Harry Potter’ films, as well as the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ trilogy.

Your professional English-speaking guide – who has read all the books and seen all the films – will meet you at St Pancras International Station, which masqueraded as Kings Cross Station, before guiding you to the tours private coach.

The coaches are equipped with air-conditioning, overhead compartments, storage for luggage, and comfortable leather-lined seats. As part of the experience, your guide will show clips and behind-the-scenes videos on the DVD system, to enhance the magic a little more. Your professional driver will escort you round the streets of London, in a much safer approach than Ernie Prang does whilst driving the Knight Bus, in ‘The Prisoner of Azkaban’. Seatbelts must be worn at all times, and you are welcome to leave personal belongings in your seat when alighting the coach, but we encourage you to bring cameras for photos.

Onwards from St Pancras, you will venture to Grimmauld Place, the secret home to the Order of the Phoenix and Sirius Black, and hear behind-the-scenes stories and anecdotes from all 8 films. Some locations will be spotted through the coach windows as we drive by, others will be visited on foot. You and your guide will alight the coach on 4 separate occasions to get closer to certain spots, and take photos and perhaps re-create a favourite scene?

Throughout the tour, you will get to see some of London’s finest historic locations and landmarks, including the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, the West End, Leadenhall Market, St Pauls Cathedral, and the spectacular view from Waterloo Bridge. Your guide may also test your knowledge on the Potter films, so get your thinking caps on, just in case you can win some House points.

The tour will conclude back at Kings Cross Station where you will alight for the fourth and final time, and your guide will escort you to your final location of the Platform 9 ¾ shop, where you are encouraged to have your photo taken with the disappearing trolley. Be forewarned, at certain times, the queue can extend outside the station, so it’s advised to go either first thing or last thing before the end of the day.

There are no scheduled bathroom breaks on the tour, but free toilets are available before and afterwards, inside Kings Cross station. Our tours go ahead come rain or shine, so please be prepared with comfortable shoes, a bottle of water and an umbrella. If you want to continue your Harry Potter adventure afterwards, or want any recommendations of what to do in London, just ask your guide and they will assist you.

Non-magical people, as well as wizards and witches, are welcome to dress up as their favourite character from the book and films (only if you want to).

We look forward to meeting you, and please don’t be late. We may not be the Hogwarts Express, but we do like to depart on time.
