London’s central streets, lined with historic facades and towering landmarks, serve as the backdrop for an enchanting journey into the world of Harry Potter with Brit Movie Tours. This unique 2-hour bus tour invites fans and curious travelers alike to see London through the lens of the iconic film series, visiting real filming locations on board a vintage purple Routemaster bus reminiscent of the Knight Bus.
Starting from Embankment Station, guests settle into classic leather-lined seats aboard the unmistakable double-decker Routemaster. The ride is comfortably air-conditioned, offering refuge from the city’s unpredictable weather as a professional guide—armed with deep knowledge and insider stories from all eight Harry Potter films and the Fantastic Beasts trilogy—brings each location vividly to life.
The itinerary blends cinematic magic with authentic London charm. Stops include the Leaky Cauldron’s pub entrance, the imposing exterior of Gringotts Bank, and the stretches of streets where action-packed scenes unfolded, such as the bridge collapsed by Death Eaters and the narrow path where the Knight Bus squeezed through high traffic. Along the way, the bus glides past celebrated sights like the Houses of Parliament, St Paul’s Cathedral, and the London Eye, weaving London’s real history into the narrative.
The tour pauses for up-close visits at key spots, allowing time for photos and reenactments. This thoughtful balance of sitting and walking keeps the experience accessible and engaging for all ages. Whether you’re a die-hard Potterhead or a first-time visitor to London, Brit Movie Tours’ Harry Potter Bus Tour offers a distinct way to connect with the city’s cinematic heritage without navigating its busy streets on foot.
