Hunter Leonard, this interactive tour offers a hands-on experience for all ages, allowing you to take home your delicious catch. Enjoy Chincoteague’s seafood like never before!

This tour visits our clam and oyster grow out locations guests can get the full aquafarm experience from digging your own clams to getting the oyster cage in the boat and inspecting your haul. We supply the rakes, gloves, and bags at no charge for you to dig up some littleneck clams and take them home with you to steam. Like oysters raw? How about learning how to shuck an oyster? Enjoying one of our salt oysters (plucked right out of the water in front of your eyes) is one of the tastiest treats you’ll ever enjoy! You are welcome to take up to a dozen oysters and 25 clams to enjoy yourself. We’ll provide a tag and a cooler to keep your shellfish cold on the journey back to your place.

This tour is interactive and is great for kids and adults alike. Your guide will be Capt. Hunter Leonard, a waterman with a degree in Marine Biology. His knowledge of oysters and clams and experience harvesting them is sure to provide a once in a lifetime experience as you take an in-depth taste of Chincoteague’s World-Famous Seafood.
