Students start with safety and range protocol before moving to a semi-automatic .22 on the firing line. The course includes targets, eye and hearing protection, up to one hundred rounds of practice ammunition, and the use of a semi-auto .22; you are welcome to bring your own handgun and ammo. Instructors calibrate coaching to each student, watching stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger press, and follow-through so progress is tangible in a single session. Depending on performance, the instructor may complete your License To Carry range qualification the same day to speed your path to certification.

What makes this offering stand out is the private, low-stress format. With a two-person cap the instructor can address individual questions and muscle-memory drills that larger classes can't. The location sits within the Gulf Coast prairie region of Brazoria County, a short drive from Houston's suburbs; its straightforward, professional layout keeps focus on technique rather than spectacle.

Practical benefits are clear: concise lesson planning, all basic equipment provided, and a direct bridge to further training. Expect clear pre-arrival instructions after booking, a safety briefing at check-in, and personalized pacing. Bring government-issued ID for age verification, be prepared to sign standard range waivers, and arrive wearing closed-toe shoes and modest layers for comfort on the line.
