Classes are conducted at the South Connersville Shop and Yard, located at 300 S Eastern Ave in Connersville.
The class fee includes all class materials, lunches, and a one-year railroad membership.
Training includes both classroom instruction and hands-on outdoor activities using full-size railroad equipment.
Students who successfully complete the course and pass the required safety and rules tests will be eligible to begin train service as student brakemen.
Bring work gloves, over-the-ankle boots, weather-appropriate clothing, and identification; expect outdoor activities rain or shine.
