Duration

1 or 5 days, a session of 3 hours every day.

Dates Weeks commencing :- 30 June, 7 July, 14 July, July, 21 July, 28 July, 4 Aug, 11 Aug, 18 Aug & 25 Aug Camp Days 1 day camp - Mondays only 3 Day Camp - Tues, Weds & Thurs 5 Day Camp - Mon, Tues, Weds, Thurs & Fri

Start times: 9:30am - 12:30pm - Group 1 -Beginner & Novice Riders 7yrs & over.

1:30pm - 4:30pm- Group 2 - Intermediate/Advanced riders aged 9yrs & over. Riders must be receiving regular tuition and be able to canter without holding neckstrap/saddle.

About

They are the ideal way to introduce children to horses and ponies and provide further training for the experienced child rider. Children learn through fun and hands on experience under supervision.

Each ride will be run in small groups of up to 6 children. All rides will be split according to rider ability. When booking you are booking the same time for each consecutive day. Each session is for 3 hours.

All staff have child protection qualifications and have been Garda vetted.

Itinerary

The session will include:- Grooming Tacking up (putting on Saddle & Bridle) General Horse care Riding Lesson tailored to the child's ability. Pony Games or Lead out The sessions will be progressive over the 3 or 5 days and your child will be taking part in different activities/stable management tasks over the week. A Dune ride is included in intermediate/advanced 3 and 5 day camps subject to rider ability and weather conditions.

Booking Conditions##

Open to children aged 7 - 15yrs Any special requirements/needs/medical issues must be declared when booking. Acceptance of a booking with special requirements will be subject to whether Donegal EC have a suitable pony, equipment and staff to conduct the session safely.
