About

Helping you catch the fish of your dreams is our number one goal, but we also strive to provide you with a pleasurable fishing experience that allows you to embrace all that the Alaskan outdoors has to offer.

Half of this trip will consist of bouncing off the bottom in Halibut holes, and then moving into the fast-flowing channels where the Salmon run. This trip also includes the opportunity to catch other abundant Alaskan fish such as Rockfish and Lingcod. As you head out the captain and deckhand will answer any last-minute questions you may have and prepare you for the day. Keep your cameras handy as you will be cruising through the Kenai Fjords National Park to some of the richest fishing waters in the world with abundant wildlife both on land and at sea. Once anchored, Alaska Dream Charters staff will provide as little or as much guidance as you would like, and will be happy to fillet any fish once back to port. Upon completion of your trip, you will be provided your filleted fish ready to be carried off the boat.

Note to Customers: This charter typically lasts 10-12 hours. Passengers making individual reservations - If you have a time constraint and need to be back at a specific time, please book an entire boat (private charter) and let us know in the comments that you must be back at a certain time.

What to Bring

  • FISHING LICENSE!!!! King Salmon Stamps are required in addition to your license in order to keep a King Salmon
  • Layered clothing is VERY important. Even warm days can get cool on the water, so more is better as you can always take layers off
  • Raincoat/pants
  • Shoes/boots (we don’t recommend cowboy boots) that can get wet, or rubber boots (we wear rubber boots)
  • Seasick meds - begin taking 24 hours before your trip on the water so that it is in your system well before we disembark
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Camera
  • Lunch, snacks, and drinks (NO BANANAS!!!! THIS IS A RULE NOT A REQUEST).
  • Please bring plenty of drinking water. You are welcome to bring small handheld coolers but please no large or rolling coolers!
  • If you chose to bring alcohol please be courteous of others, and no glass bottles allowed

Typical itinerary

  • Guests need to arrive at the dock between 6:30AM - 6:45AM with your FISHING LICENSE in hand.
  • The boat departs the port by 7AM, no exceptions. If you miss the boat, there will be NO REFUND given and we will not wait for you.
  • All tours will have a pre-determined route depending on the weather that day and it is up to the Captain’s discretion to deviate from that route for passenger safety
  • Tours last roughly 10-12 hours and will return to the port late afternoon
  • Pictures, filleting and showing off your catch for the day once we return to the harbor
