  • All of our trips are private and we can accommodate up to 6 passengers per vessel. Rates are based on the number of guests.
  • Guide gratuity, fishing licenses, and fish processing are not included in price. Guest must purchase fishing licenses in advance online here: store.adfg.alaska.gov

About this Charter

  • Relatively calm and protected waters surrounding Ketchikan that make this excursion perfect for families of all ages. Halibut fishing is excellent May through September and will require a 5 hour timeframe to get you to the most productive fishing grounds.

  • While bottom fishing for Halibut you also have the chance of catching rockfish, Pacific cod, ling cod, and sharks. Each client holds their own rod and we vertical jig over sandy flats, humps, and drop-offs. We often anchor up on a productive location or drift over a targeted area.

Fishing License

  • Anyone 16 and older is required to purchase a one-day sport fishing license online and in advance at $15 each. (store.adfg.alaska.gov)
  • If you're salmon fishing June through the month of August you will also need to purchase a King stamp at $15 each.
  • We require purchasing online to save time the day of your arrival. Make sure you have your printed copy of the license on you.

Shipping your Catch

  • All of our processing and shipping is done through our 3rd party vendor, Gateway Seafood and Smokehouse. Processing cost include the filleting, vac sealing, and freezing of your catch. Cost vary depending on the filleted weight. Overnight Shipping is available via Fed Ex. Our guide will facilitate delivery of your catch to the processor and help you fill out the shipping form on board.

Meeting Location

  • For cruise guest docking downtown at Berths 1-4 our guide will meet you at the end of your ships ramp holding a The Alaska Catch sign. Our boats will be a two minute walk from your ship.
  • Cruise clients docking at Ward Cove (Norwegian Cruise Lines, Regatta, Seven Seas Mariner, and Ocean Victory) will be met downtown at Berth 4. Please take the shuttle from Ward Cove to the downtown drop off at Berth 4, unless otherwise notified. Our guide will be holding a The Alaska Catch sign.
  • Our clients staying in town will be met at the red steel Stedman Street bridge near Creek Street on Thomas Basin Harbor. Our guide will be holding a The Alaska Catch sign. (207 Stedman Street, Ketchikan AK 99901)
