You step out of Chefchaouen’s narrow lanes and the air shifts — olive and fig trees scent the slope as the town’s blue walls recede below. The trail begins near the Ras El Maa spring, a steady ribbon of water that seems to dare you to follow it upward toward the Spanish Mosque viewpoint where the city lays spread in cool geometry.
