The bus rumbles away from the tangle of falls-side hotels and eases into green rows of vines edged by Lake Ontario. For the next six or so hours you move through Niagara-on-the-Lake wine country: low stone buildings, barrel rooms, and the faint scent of fermenting grapes that seems to follow the route.
