Typical stops are about 45–60 minutes each, timed to public feeding sessions and guided talks at the sanctuaries.
Nairobi National Park was established to protect wildlife corridors on the city’s edge; nearby sanctuaries like Sheldrick and the Giraffe Centre grew from conservation efforts to protect orphaned elephants and endangered giraffes.
Urban growth pressures the park and corridors—supporting sanctuary adoption programs and following park rules helps fund rescues and maintain habitat connectivity.
