You step out of the van and the city’s hum drops away—only the rustle of grass and distant birdsong remain. Nairobi National Park opens like a wild room on the city’s edge, plains stretching toward acacia silhouettes while giraffes and zebras move through the heat. The short drive to the Giraffe Centre in Lang'ata shifts the mood: close encounters with towering heads and slow, deliberate eyes give a hands-on lesson in conservation.
