You kick gravel at Rifugio Ragabo and the pine forest seems to push you upward—branches whipping, scent of resin and volcanic dust filling the air. The quads lurch onto ancient mule tracks, tires clawing through black scoria as the slope opens to older lava streams and the distant blue of the Ionian Sea.

The tour lasts about 3–4 hours (approximately 215 minutes) and departs from Rifugio Ragabo on the north side of Etna near Linguaglossa; arrive 10 minutes early.
