The vehicle eases onto tracks and the guide scans the horizon; a dazzle of zebra lifts its heads like punctuation across the plain, and the ride settles into the slow rhythm of a Namibian game drive.

The reserve was set aside to conserve remnants of the Khomas Hochland ecosystem; its rocky outcrops and grasslands have long supported pastoralists and seasonal wildlife movements.
Stick to vehicle tracks, follow guide instructions, and avoid feeding wildlife—these simple steps help protect the reserve’s fragile highland habitat.
