Are you looking for a day at the sea, while still being in the city? This tour is for you!. We gently stroll along on the banks of the ‘Norderelbe’ as we pass famous and photogenic places such as the world wide-known Fishmarket, the St. Pauli Elb-Tunnel and, probably the only one in Hamburg, ‘Caribbean styled beach’, in its urban seascape setting.
This full day tour along the river offers plenty of opportunities to capture both marine activity, city life, architecture and people as they go about their daily business.
This tour includes a lunch break at a nice and affordable cafe (lunch not included in the price).
Highlights:
Feel invigorated and inspired to capture new impressions and photographic works such as Überseebrücke, Dockland and Strandperle which greatly differ from the inner city scenes of Hamburg.
The tour involves a leisurely but continuous 5-hour walk along varied urban terrain. Supportive footwear is essential.
A wide-angle lens captures architecture and landscapes well, while a zoom lens helps isolate details and street scenes.
While there is a lunch break at a café, bringing water and light snacks can help maintain energy between shots.
Hamburg’s coastal weather can change rapidly; layered clothing helps adapt to shifts in sun, wind, or light rain.
The St. Pauli Elb-Tunnel, opened in 1911, was one of Europe’s first underwater tunnels, connecting central Hamburg to its harbor districts.
Efforts in Hamburg focus on balancing urban waterfront development with river ecosystem health, emphasizing sustainable public access and pollution reduction.
Allows full creative control to capture the diverse urban and waterfront scenes.
Supports steady walking on pavement, cobblestones, and pier surfaces.
Protects against wind and unexpected rain near the river.
