This is experience is designed for novice or better riders who are comfortable with longer hours in the saddle and are able to independently mount/dismount their horses easily, this culinary and riding adventure cannot be matched anywhere else!
Immerse your senses as our special guests in the best of two worlds that only Daufuskie can brag about - riding and dining! Where else can you ride your horse from north to south, and east to west, getting the best views and sampling the best of the unique, local culinary delights that the island has to offer?
Based on availability, choose from a seasonal selection of famous dishes and drinks. Your guide will additionally pack saddlebags with picnic style food and beverages.
Rides depart from and return to our location (281 Old Haig Point Rd) where a selection of refreshments will also be available.
Once mounted, hack south on our historical, dirt and tree canopied roads and trails, dismounting (depending on availability) at the Daufuskie Island Rum Company, Up in Smoke BBQ, Frye's Chicken Corner, the Saturday Farmer's Market, School Grounds Coffee, D'Fuskie's, the Silver Dew Winery and/or the Old Daufuskie Crab Company.
Food and some drink costs included in fare. Upon booking we will provide you with a patron questionnaire that will allow you to chose from available venues and menus! Kindly remember some offerings are only available seasonally. Gratuity not included.
Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes to protect legs and feet during a 3.5-hour saddle time.
Bring a water bottle—though some refreshments are provided, hydration remains key on warm days.
This ride requires independently mounting and dismounting; prior horseback experience is recommended.
