You wake before dawn in a sleeper bus station, the air sharp and the town lit by a few lone lamps, then step onto a road that climbs into a different world. The Ha Giang Loop unfurls with a throttle and a view: hairpin turns that spill into wide valleys, limestone spires rising like the ribs of an ancient sea, and the Nho Que River pulling emerald light through the canyon below.
