About This Adventure

Embark on a thrilling 3-hour guided kayak adventure at Terranea, where you'll paddle through stunning kelp forests and ancient sea caves to explore a fascinating tide pool. Discover unique marine life, a fossilized whale skull, and breathtaking geological formations, making this an unforgettable outdoor experience for adventurers of all ages.

Guided Kayak Tide Pool Adventure

Experience 2 of Terranea’s incredible activities for the price of one. You'll begin your adventure on a guided kayak tour in order to reach one of our outstanding tide pools located approximately 1.5 miles to the east of the resort. After paddling through the kelp forest and past ancient sea caves you’ll land on a sandy beach and spend an hour investigating the tidepool creatures , a fossilized whale skull and amazing geological formations before paddling back to Terranea's Beach Cove.

Single and tandem kayaks are available, depending on your group and preference.

Waterproof phone cases available for purchase.

3 hours Please proceed directly to the Beach Cove 15 mins early, kayaks will depart promptly at start time.


Requirements:

  • NO UNACCOMPANIED MINORS. All persons under 18 years of age MUST BE ACCOMPANIED by a participating (paid) parent or legal guardian.
  • This is a physically demanding activity, you must be comfortable descending/ascending a rocky beach and wading into the water unassisted for launch/landing at two separate shoreline locations. Also, this activity requires a minimum of 3 MILES OF SCENIC PADDLING, subject to wind and current conditions.
