About This Adventure

Embark on a thrilling guided kayak fishing adventure in the stunning kelp forest, nestled between two Marine Protected Areas. With expert guidance and all necessary gear provided, you’ll enjoy a unique fishing experience, regardless of your skill level. Paddle through scenic waters and create unforgettable memories in nature.

Online booking fee included. Groups of 10 or more must book through Destination Services.

Guided Kayak Fishing Adventure

Experience fishing the kelp forest on a guided kayak excursion. Terranea is located in the middle of two Marine Protected Areas, so you'll begin and end your tour with a decent paddle to reach a fishing permissible area outside of that boundary. Your experienced fishing guide will accompany you and bring all of the necessary fishing gear and set you up to fish, and provide any necessary instruction and supervision. No prior kayaking or fishing experience is necessary.

Guests can bring their own fishing equipment if so desired.

Overnight guests are required to catch and release, no storage in hotel suites is permitted. (Local residents who elect to transport their fish home may keep what they catch.)

Tandem and single kayaks are available, depending on your group and preference.

3 hours Please arrive to the Beach Cove 15 mins early, kayaks will depart promptly at start time!


Requirements:

  • A fishing license is required for all guests 16 and over. Single day fishing licenses can be purchased online for approximately $19 CA Dept of Fish & Wildlife
  • Ages 8+
  • NO UNACCOMPANIED MINORS. All persons under 18 years of age MUST BE ACCOMPANIED by a participating (paid) parent or legal guardian.
  • Requires minimum of 2 persons per session to book.
  • This is a physically demanding activity, you must be comfortable descending/ascending a rocky beach and wading into the water for launch/landing. Also, this activity requires a minimum of 3 MILES OF SCENIC PADDLING, subject to wind and current conditions.
