Perfect for beginners, this 60-minute adventure allows you to paddle through serene waterways, spotting majestic birds like Ospreys and Bald Eagles while soaking up the sun and enjoying the gentle breeze.

Min of 2 Vessels for Excursion to Hold

Children Under 13 must ride in the front seat with an adult in a Tandem Kayak on Guided Excursions. Children under 5 and under (and under 50 lbs) can ride for free in the center jump seat with 2 paying paddlers.

Learn the basics of kayaking with an ACA Certified Kayak Instructor while enjoying a 60 minute guided kayak excursion on the Rehoboth Bay. Paddle along the shallow waterways while birds soar above. Look for Osprey, Great Blue Heron, Green Heron and Bald Eagles that frequent the area. Paddle next to Thompson Island, where ancient burial grounds are protected by the state park. Soak up the sun and feel the breeze on your skin as you paddle along on this excursion designed for beginners or recreational experiences.

You can select from a single or a tandem, but based on limited availability, we may have to change your selection.

FREE Parking Before 10 AM 7 days a week and after 5 PM on Mondays.

Offered daily in season at 830 and 10 am. Some afternoon and evening sessions available too. Check the calendar view for dates and times.

Adventure Tips

Book early for preferred kayak type

Single and tandem kayaks are available, but availability can be limited—reserve early to secure your choice.

Bring sun protection

Open-water paddling exposes you to direct sunlight, so pack sunscreen, a hat, and polarized sunglasses.

Arrive early for free parking

Free parking is available before 10 AM daily and after 5 PM on Mondays near the launch site behind the Bay Resort Waterfront Hotel.

Children safety seating

Children under 13 must sit in the front of a tandem kayak with an adult; those under 5 and under 50 lbs may ride free in the center jump seat.
