The sun hits the red-rock ridges as your horse steps from the vineyard shade onto a dusty track—hooves stirring desert scent and the Verde River daring you to get closer. On this hour-long guided ride beside Alcantara Vineyards, riders move through riparian scrub, skirt low mesas and cross the shallow meet-point where Oak Creek and the Verde River converge. The landscape pushes and opens: vineyard rows give way to scrub oak, then to panoramic views of the Mogollon Rim and distant Sedona spires.
