For Sawmill Lake: The rates are normal half day guided trip rates, plus an additional $75 per angler for the private water experience.

About

  • Sawmill Lake Fly Fishing is a secluded 10-acre reservoir surrounded by a High Country Ponderosa Forest. Sawmill Lake is centrally located to the Lake Tahoe Area and amongst the ski runs of Northstar-at-Tahoe.
  • The Lake has large Rainbow Trout as well as a few Brown Trout and is reserved for “Catch & Release” Fly Fishing only.
  • This lake offers a perfect opportunity for float tubing or stalking the shoreline for cruising fish. Most of the fishing is with dry flies and the occasional Nymph or Streamer.
  • Fly Fishing at Sawmill Lake is limited to 4 rods at a time and reservations are required. The Lake can be booked for larger private groups and is great for small Reunions, Bachelor Parties and Corporate Groups.

  • All Trips are private to your group.
  • Custom times are available.
  • Areas fished are based on your guides provision. We try to take into account your preference and local accommodation.
  • Trips are weather permitting, during the winter there may be a higher chance of rebooking.
  • All trips require California Fishing Licenses for each angler. You may also purchase a license at the time of check-out, at our shop prior to your trip or online prior to your trip.
  • Your guide will contact you within 12-48 hours prior to your trip for any final details.
