You step out of Guangzhou’s humidity into the punctual rush of Guangzhou South Railway Station, exchange the urban skyline for karst peaks rising like stacked green teeth, and feel the trip shift from city rhythm to river time.
moderate.
5 days.
Suitable for travelers with basic fitness — able to walk several hours, cycle short countryside loops, and climb Moon Hill steps.
Participants are responsible for their own visas and passport validity; confirm entry requirements well before travel.
Moon Hill is a short but steep climb on stone steps — expect 20–30 minutes at a steady pace; not technical but requires basic fitness.
The itinerary includes breakfasts and several lunches/dinners as listed; specific meals are detailed in the booking inclusions.
Bamboo raft sections are generally shallow and guided, but infants must sit on an adult’s lap and adult pricing applies for travelers over three.
Guangzhou was a major maritime trade and foreign concession hub; the nearby Tomb of the Nanyue King preserves Han dynasty artifacts tied to the region’s early statehood.
Li River and surrounding karst are sensitive to pollution and overtourism; choose operators who limit waste, avoid single‑use plastics, and follow local guidelines for river traffic.
