Whether you're organizing an outing for your club, company, organization, or school, a group tour offers an inspiring experience of this iconic Mid-Century Modern National Historic Landmark. Explore its imaginative spaces with a dedicated docent, enjoy a schedule tailored to your group, and leave with a deeper appreciation for design, architecture, and creativity.
Group tours are available Tuesday-Saturday, February-December, by appointment only.
Parking is located behind the Post Street School.
All tours are guided by our knowledgeable docents; questions are encouraged.
Tours end in our gift shop, please allow extra time those those who wish to shop.
Feel free to include a link to our website, www.abdow.org, on your promotional campaigns, to allow your guests to learn about Mr. Dow and his work.
We ask that group reservations are made 30 days prior to tour and confirmation of final number of tourists confirmed 1 week prior to tour. This allows us to schedule an adequate number of docents for your group.
If cancellation becomes necessary, 30 day notice is required via email at info@abdow.org or 989.839.2744.
The individual who made the reservation is asked to review the Alden B. Dow Home & Studio Policies and Procedures with all the guests in their party.
To ensure the safety of the artwork, we provide a closet for coats, and a secure drawer for purses, backpacks and other personal belongings that are not allowed to travel through the Home & Studio. Please utilize pockets to carry personal items and cash or credit cards for gift shop purchases.
No food, drinks, or gum are allowed in the Home & Studio.
Children under 8 years old are not allowed on the tour—no exceptions.
Phones may be carried on tour but must remain silent and in pockets while inside. NO interior PHOTOS, videos, or recording of any kind is allowed, including the screened-in porch. Photos are allowed outside the building during the tour and in front of the building before and after the tour.
Certified Service Animals are welcome; pets are not allowed.
As a National Historic Landmark, the Alden B. Dow Home and Studio is not required to follow ADA guidelines. It is not wheelchair accessible.
