About This Adventure

Experience the thrill of surfing with our 2-hour group lessons, perfect for all skill levels! Guided by friendly, expert coaches, you'll learn essential techniques while enjoying a supportive atmosphere. With all equipment provided and a focus on safety, you'll be riding your first wave in no time!

Our 2 hour group surfing lessons comprise of everything you need to know about getting in the surf and having fun whilst also staying safe.

About

Our coaches will be with you every step of the way, on the beach for demonstrations, in the water for tips and assistance and right there when you ""claim'' your first wave. All equipment supplied. Popular choices are our 3 & 5 lesson packages. This offers you a great saving on each of your lessons and gives you the time in the water that's needed to really improve in the surf!

What to Bring

You don’t really need to bring much to your surf lesson, but try to remember the following items:

  • Swimwear
  • Towel
  • Sunscreen
  • Drinking water
  • Beach footwear in summer if the ground is hot
  • Your booking voucher (printed or on your phone)
  • A HUGE smile!!....

Inclusions

We will provide you with the following when you arrive for your lesson:

  • Surfboard
  • Wetsuit
  • Rash Shirt
  • Sunscreen (if you do not have your own)
  • Professional Instruction from our experienced surf coaches

Meeting Location

Lessons are generally held at Redgate Beach, however if conditions aren't suitable we will notify you of the best location for the conditions on the day. Please meet the Margaret River Surf School van in the Redgate Beach Car Park 10 minutes prior to your lesson commencing. Directions; From Margaret River town head South on Bussell Hwy. At the roundabout turn right onto Boodjidup Rd and continue to the end. Turn left onto Caves Rd. In 2kms turn right onto Redgate Rd and continue all the way to the beach car park.

Adventure Tips

Arrive Early

Plan to arrive 10 minutes before your lesson to meet the surf coaches and get fitted for gear.

Wear Appropriate Swimwear

Bring swimwear that fits comfortably under wetsuits to avoid chafing during lessons.

Hydrate Well

Surf lessons are physically demanding—bring water to stay hydrated throughout the session.

Apply and reapply waterproof sunscreen, especially on cloudy days, to prevent sunburn.
