What to Expect

Four Distinct Seasons

Each season at the farm offers a unique experience. From December to March during summer, the farm is full of blooms, with the lavender flowering season taking centre stage. From April to November, the gardens continually evolve — autumn showcases rich colours, winter offers serene landscapes and spring brings fresh blossoms. All with year-round activities and stunning backdrops.

Fun & Games

Whether you're young or just young at heart, stay entertained by a variety of giant games as you meander around our gardens. Choose from Bocce Ball, Checkers, Connect 4, Jenga, and more. Discover other fun purple-themed features including tractors, a tunnel and “the door”.

Meet the Farm Animals

Say hello to our miniature donkeys, goats, and other endearing animals. During the cooler months, you can even hand-feed our alpacas and sheep. Our animals are always eager to greet visitors and add a special touch to your farm experience.

Sample with Your Senses

Enhance your experience by sampling our farm-made lavender products. Smell, taste, and feel the essence of lavender, and chat with our friendly team to learn how these products are crafted.

Bees & Honey

Visit the hives our bees call home and watch them buzz about, collecting nectar from the surrounding flowers. Enjoy a complimentary honey tasting experience in the tearoom, featuring a range of floral varieties, even lavender honey!

Tea & Ice Cream

Relax with a cup of herbal tea or indulge in seasonal treats. Our tearoom offers lavender-infused delights such as shortbread cookies, macarons, chocolates, muffins, cakes and scones. A visit to the Wānaka Lavender Farm is not complete without some delicious lavender ice cream, made in collaboration with a local Wānaka artisan.

Please note: Treat offerings are subject to change. Daily stocks of food and drinks may be limited, and these items are available for purchase separately from the ticket.
