The engine purrs, the red rock opens, and dust kicks up like a promise as your UTV threads a ribbon of desert track outside Hurricane, Utah. You feel the vehicle respond beneath you while the canyon walls tilt in and out of focus, scrub brush and juniper leaning as if to watch you pass. The ride moves fast enough to quicken the pulse and slow enough to drink in the views.
