Itinerary

DAY 1 - LAUNCESTON, & TAMAR VALLEY WINE REGION & SEBEL HOTEL LAUNCESTON

A warm welcome and introduction to the picturesque Launceston begins a day full of stunning scenery and wine tasting world class wineries.

Destination one will be the magnificent Cataract Gorge. Only minutes from the CBD, the Cataract Gorge is a destination like no other. The bushland, cliffs and ice-cold South Esk River feel a million miles from town. At First Basin there are many enjoyable activities including a chairlift, swimming pool, cafe and restaurant. Peacocks wander aimlessly throughout the gorgeous landscape as time seems to stand still. This place is a delight!

We then head on a luxury journey to the picturesque Tamar Valley wine region. Sampling the finest wines and enjoying lunch. Stopping at Tamar Ridge Winery, Moores Hill Estate, including locally sourced produce platter for lunch. We then make our way to Holm Oak Vineyard to experience a gorgeous array of stunning wine.

Following our final winery tour, we will make the short 40-minute journey to the centre of Launceston for your stay in one of the apartments at The Sebel. This boutique accommodation offers spacious rooms with balconies where you can enjoy a complimentary welcome bottle of the House of Arras, premium Tasmanian sparkling wine. Once you have settled in, our three-course evening meal will be served at Bluestone Bar & Kitchen. This award-winning restaurant was voted Accor Pacific’s Franchise Restaurant of the Year in 2019 and proudly offers a true paddock to plate experience in addition to a wide range of Tasmania’s finest wines, whiskies and gins.

DAY 2 - BARNBOUGLE DUNES GOLF COURSE & LOST FARM RESTAURANT

A gorgeous locally sourced breakfast at Bluestone Bar & Kitchen will provide much needed energy to tackle the famous Barnbougle Dunes Golf Course.

Barnbougle Dunes is a links golf course with breathtaking views near Bridport, North-East Tasmania. The dramatic scenery and challenging 18-hole championship course is among the best links courses in the world and we are extremely privileged to be able to present it to you.

The layout is a mix of voluptuous dunes, sandy waste and rough, typical of a links course. The same blend of fescue grass extends from tee to green, and there is dramatic movement in its bumpy fairways and rolling greens.

Enjoy the par-71 design which does not require brute strength, but allows you to exert power to an advantage at certain points. No matter what your ability, this course lends itself well to strategy and plotting a suitable path. There is a driving range, putting green and chipping green with bunkers for you to hone your technique.

Following our round, we will have the luxury of a relaxing afternoon and enjoying the delights of the Barnbougle Lost Farm complex.

Tonight's meal is a beautiful 3-course dinner at the Lost Farm Restaurant, a perfect dining experience. Perched atop a coastal dune with spectacular views of the course and coastline, the Lost Farm Restaurant and Lounge promise an unforgettable dining experience.

The Lost Farm Lodge or Barnbougle Dunes will be the preferred choice for accommodation, which gives you an ideal gateway to exploring Tasmania’s northern scenery and coastal surrounds. Open-plan rooms and views across Anderson Bay and the Lost Farm Golf Course create a spectacular experience for all guests.

DAY 3 - LOST FARM RESTAURANT & GOLF COURSE

A quality hot breakfast at the Lost Farm restaurant will begin todays proceedings. The Lost Farm Links Golf Course is the star attraction today. It will take your breath away!

Unlike a standard course, Lost Farm features a quirky 20 holes. The greens are dispersed amongst the dunes and along the coastline. The routing of the course is diverse and offers an exciting challenge for golfers of all abilities. Currently ranked number 3 in Australia and has been as high as the 2nd ranked course in the country!

Barnbougle Lost Farm is a course dramatically different from the standard Links Golf Course. The 20 holes of sweeping fairways complement both the surrounding landscape and the iconic game itself. With a reputation for minimalist course design and a philosophy that traditional, strategic golf is the most rewarding, the Lost Farm has the intention to complement the canvas provided by Mother Nature.

Lunch is included at the Lost Farm restaurant. This restaurant enjoys stunning views over the golf course and will be a great last meal to unwind after a beautiful 3 days.
