"Amazing 2-hour adventure! John took us out on his boat to a prospecting site about 30min away. Mike taught us novices how to pan gold with some concentrate pulled from a sluice box just up the river. John and Mike were both so friendly and knowledgeable, the boat ride was incredibly beautiful, and it was really neat to see how the process works in Alaska of all places, home to the gold rush. My 8-year-old daughter wants to go back tomorrow, my 2-year-old loved the boat ride. Highly recommend!!! (Bring warm clothes if you’re doing the boat ride)."
