Now you have mastered the basics of learning how to surf!
Wonderful, you can confidently catch your own waves, go left and right and have a reasonably good knowledge of rips and surf conditions. Basically, it all comes down to the foundations of your surfing being rock solid. It's super important to 'get the basics right', you need to have the correct skill base to build further skills on.
Intermediate is a wonderful level to be at. You can start to take more control of your surfing, and really strive to achieve success in every session. Some people decide that this is a good time to buy their own surfboard, which is great. We can help with suggestions on where to go and what kind of board would be good for you. Once you have your own board and the essential ocean knowledge you will want to get out during the week and practice what you've learned in the lessons.
The wonderful thing about surfing is it doesn't matter how long you have been surfing, there is always something new to learn and discover. Even those of us who have been surfing for years have those 'light bulb' moments now and then.
