Intermediate Goat Hike at Wissahickon Valley Park
Embark on a unique 45-minute hike at Wissahickon Valley Park, accompanied by charming rescued goats! With a small group of just 12 participants, you'll have the chance to walk and cuddle these affectionate animals. This memorable adventure combines nature, companionship, and fun, making it perfect for goat lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
Join us as we go on a 30 to 45-minute hike with our adorable rescued goats at Wissahickon Valley Park!
You'll meet us at the location (8986 Crefeld Street, Philadelphia, PA 19118), where our staff and volunteers will be waiting with the goats. They will introduce you, and then your adventure begins! We keep the group size to a maximum of 12 participants so everyone has a chance to walk a goat. At the end, there will be time to cuddle with them—they love all the affection!
Children must be at least 6 years old to participate in the hike.
IMPORTANT: This is an INTERMEDIATE hike. There are rocks and roots and elevation. This hike is not suitable for kids under 6. It can be slippery at points, especially with wet leaves.
Directions/ Arrival: Please arrive 5-10 minutes early at 8986 Crefeld Street, Philadelphia, PA 19118. To avoid delaying the group, we kindly ask that you make every effort to be on time. If you anticipate being late, please call 215-209-9561.
What to Wear/Bring:
Cancellation: In the event of inclement weather, we will call/email a few hours before notify you of the cancellation. In addition, we will offer the ability to reschedule your date (no refunds).
Trail paths can be uneven; sturdy shoes help protect your feet during the hike.
Stay hydrated with a water bottle, especially on warmer days during the hike.
Groups are limited to 12, but maintain space to ensure a calm environment for goats and participants.
If you have allergies to animals or hay, take appropriate precautions before booking.
Wissahickon Valley Park is part of Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park system, rich in colonial-era history and once home to mills along the creek.
