7PM, 7:30PM, 8:30PM & 9PM!!!   What is LED Illuminated Kayak After Dark? It is exploring nature in a truly unique way. St. Thomas Water Sports’ very own kayaks are the “windows to the sea”, allowing the rider to experience the underwater sea life below the surface.

Your kayak, the ‘Caribe’ is half sit-on-top kayak, half-canoe. The crystal clear hull of the Caribe provides a window to the underwater world. The kayaks are retrofitted with powerful LED lights, allowing you view the underwater nocturnal residents in their natural habitat.

Often, guests report seeing Green Sea Turtles, tarpon, southern sting rays and other underwater creatures in their natural habitat.

• Only registered guests of the hotel are allowed to use the pool/beach chairs. Any Kayak passengers using these items may be asked to leave property and excursion tickets may be forfeited.

Departing nightly from the Marriott’s Frenchman’s Cove, tours are offered at 6:30pm, 8pm & 9:15pm. You must check-in on the beach 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time.

Your adventure begins at the Marriott’s Frenchman’s Cove beach where a brief kayaking instruction is provided and then you will get into your 2 person kayak. Enjoy your relaxing twilight paddle and keep a look out for a pirate ship in the vicinity.

Not only will you kayak under the twinkling stars, but you’ll also experience the twinkling lights of historical Charlotte Amalie Harbour as a backdrop too!

LED Illuminated Kayak After Dark would like to welcome back and now accepting reservations from our neighbor, The Westin Beach Resort & Spa, at Frenchman's Reef. 

Important notes:

Only registered guests of the hotel are allowed to use the pool/beach chairs. Any Kayak passengers using these items may be asked to leave property and excursion tickets may be forfeited.

• Inform us if the maximum combined weight approaches 450lbs. per kayak, based on 2 guests per double-seated kayak.

Guests arriving by taxi may proceed to the dock.

  Guests arriving to the Marriott's Frenchman's Cove by private vehicle must stop at the security gate check point prior to proceeding to the designated parking area (gravel parking area past the gate right hand side). If no parking spaces are available in the designated parking area, guests will have to park off property and walk to the dock.   GUIDES APPRECIATE GRATUITIES, THANK YOU   • Upper parking lot before security booth is for employees only. Guests are only permitted to park in designated areas.

• Taking pictures of others without their permission or consent is discouraged.   • Masks/facial coverings are optional.
