Experience the art of glassblowing by creating your own stunning glass bauble alongside a skilled glassblower. Gather molten glass, choose your colors, and shape your masterpiece with expert tools. After cooling overnight, your unique creation will be ready for collection or delivery, making this a memorable hands-on artistic adventure.
15 minutes per bauble
Create your own glass bauble on the hotfloor working alongside the glassblower. You will gather molten glass from the furnace, apply your choice of colour, shape the glass with specialist glassmaking tools and finish with a glass loop. Please wear cool cotton clothing, layers are best as it gets quite hot working in front of the furnace, sturdy footwear is essential [ no open toes or flip flops ] Three quarter length trousers are fine to be worn, shorts above the knee are not permitted. Long hair must be tied back.
Your finished bauble will be placed in the annealing kiln to cool slowly overnight.
• This experience is for people ages 16 and above. • All minors MUST be accompanied by an adult. • If you require an invoice for your booking, please contact us directly before placing your booking. The completed Baubles must cool down slowly overnight and can be collected from the following working day from 2 pm onwards (excluding Sundays) or, for an additional postage charge, we can post it to your home/work address.
Long sleeves are recommended to protect your arms from the heat.
Sessions fill up quickly, so reserve your spot early to secure your preferred time.
Plan for additional time for cooling and pickup after the session.
Listen carefully to the safety briefings given by the instructor.
