Embark on a scenic bus tour to the breathtaking Briksdal Glacier, nestled in Jostedal Glacier National Park. The magnificent Briksdal Glacier forms part of the Jostedal Glacier National Park, and plunges 1200 metres to the lush, narrow Briksdal valley below – a sight that attracts 300,000 visitors from all over the world each year.
Step onboard a comfortable bus that will take out of the Port and on a nice tour through the area of Nordfjord along the famous Hornindal Lake. The bus drive is 1h45min each way and our personal guide will tell interesting stories and facts along the way.
Included in the ticket is a great cake buffet and coffee at the cafeteria at Briksdalen. Eat as much as you want! At this place it is also possible to buy lunch and drinks in addition to souvenirs.
At arrival Briksdal you can either walk the 3 km up to the glacier or you can buy a ticket with one of the “Troll Cars” that will take you there. We reccomend to use the cars up and walk down.Please note that “Troll Cars” have limited availbility and we reccomend to book this in advance at this page: Trollcars
You will arrive Briksdal approx. 1h45min after departure time from Nordfjordeid. Note that from the point the Troll Cars stops, it is a 500 meter walk to the lake in front of the glacier.
You will have 2,5 hours to spend in Briksdalen before the bus returns to Port of Nordfjordeid.
