Relax in comfort on the 45 minute trip along the valley whilst enjoying the spectacular landscape views of the mountain waterfalls, the crystal clear reflections in the lakes and the traditional architecture.
Once we reach our destination, you will have minimum 2 hours of leisure time, where you can walk along the paths up to the Glaciers edge, learning a little history of the Glacier through the years, and witnessing the force of the waterfalls up close on your way.
You may just wish to take in the fresh air and embrace the natural beauty of your surroundings. There are many photo opportunities for you here. For those of you who like to shop there is the souvenir shop which stocks many handicrafts from the area.
Or you might like to take refreshments in the restaurant before re-joining us on the scenic return journey back through the valley.
The entire trip will take a maximum of three and a half hours.
Meeting point is at the Olden Adventure office which is located in the only building on the pier. The location is just outside the security gate to the right when leaving the ship. Staff from Olden Adventure will assist to find your designated bus.
Weather can change rapidly; bring layered clothing to stay comfortable throughout the day.
Waterproof jackets and boots will help you stay dry while walking around the glacier and streams.
Midday often provides the best light for photographing the glacier’s vivid turquoise hues.
Early arrivals can enjoy quieter trails and better lighting conditions for photos.
