The National Railroad Museum's new Girls STEM Leadership three-day camp allows young women to explore STEM through the lens of the railroad! We will discuss the science and evolution of trains, the future/sustainability of the world, and how trains can improve and create less pollution. The camp concludes with a final project in which our campers will put to use what they learned throughout the three days. This camp aims to see young women grow as leaders and gain confidence in the STEM field as they create their own inventions. Everyone will receive a certificate upon completion.
The camp involves walking through museum exhibits and outdoor activities, so sturdy shoes ensure comfort throughout the day.
Staying hydrated is important during outdoor sessions, and water stations are available at the museum.
Indoor museum areas and outdoor sessions require adaptable clothing as temperatures may fluctuate.
