By midmorning you’re at the Giraffe House in Paarl, face-to-face with a long-lashed neck that will nudge your palm for a treat; later you move to the educational enclosures at Cheetah Outreach in Somerset West before finishing among shaded tasting tables at Vredenheim in Stellenbosch.
