10% of all Giraffe Feed ticket sales will support the efforts of the Wild Nature Institute. The Wild Nature Institute conducts observational research on endangered wildlife and inspires the public to protect nature. One of their main projects is studying Masai giraffes by using a computer program that recognizes each animal’s unique fur pattern from photographs. They monitor more than 6000 individual giraffes throughout their lifetimes, across vast landscapes. This is the biggest giraffe study in the world, and one of the biggest large-mammal demography studies in history.
All participants will be required to first wash their hands thoroughly at the Giraffe Feed location and remain within the designated area.
Giraffe feeding requires climbing of stairs. If you have mobility difficulties and would like to use our ADA accessible lower feeding area, please let staff know upon your arrival to the giraffe feeding area at feeding time.
Slots for the giraffe feeding experience fill up quickly, so reserve your spot ahead of time to ensure availability.
