The pontoon eases away from Gili Trawangan’s wooden jetties at 14:30, salt on your skin and an afternoon breeze nudging the bow toward open water. Over the next four hours you hop between shallow reefs—first to the submerged sculptures off Gili Meno, then to Turtle Point where curious green and hawksbill turtles glide around your fins, and finally to the coral gardens off Gili Air—before settling with a BBQ and a cold Bintang as the sun slides toward Bali.

4 hours.
Basic fitness and comfort in open water; able to swim short distances and get in/out of a small boat.
No—but you should be comfortable in open water and able to tread or float; snorkel vests are available for less confident swimmers.
A fresh BBQ dinner is served onboard; basic refreshments or alcoholic drinks may be available for purchase—bring cash for extras.
The operator will offer a rebook or full refund; trips are weather-dependent and can be changed for safety reasons.
Minimum age is seven years and swimmers must be able to swim; minimum booking is two people and operators may require at least four guests to confirm a departure.
The three Gili islands are coral-topped remnants on Lombok’s volcanic shelf; traditional fishing villages gave way to tourism in recent decades, while art projects like Taylor’s sculptures were installed to promote reef growth.
Respect local marine rules: don’t touch coral or turtles, use reef-safe sunscreen, and consider donating to island turtle rescue or reef-restoration initiatives.
