You step off the subway an hour from central Busan and the air shifts—sea salt on the breeze, the faint sweet smoke of fired clay, and a lane of low roofs that feel older than the city skyline. In Gijang’s Onggi village, kiln chimneys puncture the horizon and pots sit cooling on low walls; artisans move with deliberate hands, coaxing shape and texture from local clay.

The tour uses the subway and takes about one hour each way depending on your starting point in Busan.
Namchang Market runs on dates ending in 3 and 8 every month (3, 8, 13, 18, 23, 28); if closed, the itinerary will visit alternate local markets such as Gijang Market.
