Giant Tritoon Fun at Boyd Lake: 16-Person Pontoon with Upper Deck and Waterslide

On a bright Colorado morning, Boyd Lake stretches flat and glassy against the Front Range, a popular reservoir north of Loveland where families, anglers, and sun-seekers convene. The Tritoon Upper Deck w/ Water Slide • Avalon Catalina Entertainer (BLK) is a 27-foot Island Breeze 252 pontoon that turns a lake day into a full-on celebration for groups of up to 16. Boarding from Boyd Lake Marina, this double-deck tritoon pairs a 250HP Mercury Verado engine with premium lounging: an upper sun deck, dining table, floatable rectangle table, and plush seating meant for long afternoons. The built-in waterslide and four-step stainless rear ladder pivot the experience toward play—kids and adults launch off the stern into clean reservoir water while a premium sound package keeps the soundtrack upbeat. Extras like the optional built-in BBQ Grill Package, wakeboards, towable tubes, and floating lake mats let you tailor the day: a slow-moving picnic cruise or an adrenaline-filled tow run. Choose an on-the-water rental that’s captained for a worry-free outing—your captain will have the boat waiting at the ramp and handle navigation and local safety—or self-captain if someone in your group is 16+ and boater-certified. The company’s check-in notes that renters must be 21+ and keep a credit card on file for deposit; operators aged 16–18 need a CPW-approved boating certificate. Boarding and departure happen at the main boat ramp, and the rental spans common options of six or eight hours, ideal for sunrise to sunset play. The setting is quintessential Front Range reservoir country: reed-lined coves, sculpted shorelines, and views that angle toward the Rocky Mountain foothills. Boyd Lake’s open water and reliable summer winds attract boaters and anglers alike; watch for osprey hunting the shallows and western painted turtles sunning on logs near the shoreline. Because the lake is managed for recreation, pack reef-safe sunscreen, plenty of water, and a plan for leaving no trace—soft-sided trash and reusable containers work best. Reserve early—weekends fill fast during summer and holiday weeks—and consider the captained option if you want a guide to hidden coves and quiet anchorages away from the main launch. The pontoon’s center-toon in-floor storage and generous deck layout make it easy to bring coolers, fishing gear, and a small picnic without sacrificing walking space. Bring layered clothing for shifting winds and a waterproof bag for electronics and sunscreen. This boat’s combination of capacity, comfort, and on-deck entertainment makes it a standout in Loveland’s summer rental scene—great for multi-family outings, reunions, birthdays, or bachelor/bachelorette days. Whether you’re sliding into the water, firing up the grill, or drifting under a pink Front Range sunset, the Tritoon Upper Deck w/ Water Slide promises a full day of accessible, memorable lake time on Boyd Lake.
