Embark on a thrilling ghost tour through Victoria's haunted history, starting at the Visitor Information Centre. Encounter the vengeful spirit of Kanaka Joe, explore eerie sites like the Chateau Victoria Hotel, and conclude at the Old Burying Ground, where the past lingers. Uncover chilling tales in this unforgettable experience.
Starts at the Visitor Information Centre and heads along Humboldt Street, narrowly avoiding the vengeful ghost of Kanaka Joe. Passes the Chateau Victoria Hotel, once the site of a spooky old house owned by Victoria Jane and her pet parrot. Up Church Hill to the steps of Christ Church Cathedral for a ghostly duellist. Finishes in the Old Burying Ground which was re-landscaped by the City many years ago and dubbed “Pioneer Square” – only they did not remove the bodies….. Please note that due to construction, Downtown events or other circumstances beyond our control, the route followed might deviate from the above description.
