Cobblestones click underfoot as the canal edges watch and the city’s masonry seems to whisper. You start with a mobile app, a story prompt and a two-hour window to untangle accusations of witchcraft in medieval Ghent. The game escorts you along narrow lanes and squares—each clue delivered by witnesses you find at notable sites—turning familiar streets into a live mystery theatre where the city itself pushes you forward.

Main routes used by the game are wheelchair accessible, though some historic cobblestones and narrow alleys may be uneven—check the route on your map before starting.
The experience includes 7/7 online support and in-app hints so teams can request help during the game.
Ghent grew into a medieval textile and trade hub; many of the city’s bridges, guild houses and the Gravensteen castle reflect wealth from the cloth industry.
Stick to marked streets, avoid damaging historic façades and carry out trash; Ghent preserves many protected structures and open waterways that benefit from low-impact tourism.
