About

We start by driving along one of the prettiest coastal roads on the island, close to the ocean and lava cliffs, near tidepools and spots with breathtaking views!

Our first stop will include an unforgettable location where we will learn about various Hawaiian plants, customs and beliefs.

Then we mosey on down to the newest black sand beach, created from the 2018 flow and swim in three different geothermal ponds, including one hard to find, picturesque hot spring in the jungle that will not disappoint! These are the ONLY hot ponds on ANY of the Hawaiian islands. It’s well worth any long drive :)There is no lava flow to view, the ponds are heated by the magma underground making natural hot tubs! The springs range from about 99-105 degrees depending on the time of day.
