Explore Gem Mine & Butterfly Water Adventures in Kissimmee

There are real precious gems and rare fossils to be panned in our 70-foot mining trough – and it’s ‘finders keepers’ – Yes you get to keep what your find!

Our mining rough has lots of treasures that lie hidden beneath the sand and dirt waiting to be uncovered by you. Just roll up your sleeves – grab your bucket, sifter, trowel and start your adventure panning in the water sluice.

The gem bucket has an abundance of various gems such as emeralds, rubies, amethyst and more. The fossil bucket has many of the fossil groups including invertebrates, terrestrial plants, fossilized amber and fish, and you may even find some shark teeth. We encourage you to pan very carefully with just a small amount of dirt in your sifter so you don’t lose anything and then try panning it again in case you missed a treasure.

You’re guaranteed to have a good time with family and friends. Kids will love identifying their treasures and their discoveries will make wonderful additions to any rock collection, school project or create a fun bracelet or necklace with their find.

This activity is great for all ages and abilities – even the adults will get hooked on the crusade to find hidden prizes! We will provide you with a sifter, bucket & small shovel. You get to take home your treasures, collection bag and identification card.
