Our late morning Welsh Highland Railway service from Caernarfon to Beddgelert takes you on a scenic journey filled with variety as it crosses the foothills of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon).

Journey

  • Journey duration – approx. 4 hours 30 minutes including break at Beddgelert to explore the picturesque village, get some lunch and admire the locomotive before the return journey.
  • The journey is much enhanced by the Traveller’s Guide and the ‘FfWHR Explore’ app, which are available to pre-book and download respectively.

Catering

  • Picnic baskets and Children’s lunchboxes are available to purchase in advance.
  • Caffi De Winton (Caernarfon Station) is open from 09:00 – 17:00, serving breakfasts and light bites, with take away options available.
  • Cold drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, a range of snacks, including sandwiches, available on board the train.
